Heavy Rain and Flash Flooding Threat in Montana; Severe Thunderstorms in the Middle Missouri Valley

A low pressure system will bring heavy to excessive rainfall and high winds across Montana this afternoon. Heavy rainfall totals may lead to scattered flash flooding concerns. Temperatures will continue to be on the rise under the influence of an upper level high. Lows tonight will be in the low to mid 70s with highs tomorrow afternoon in the mid to upper 90s. A few locations may even hit the triple digit mark.
Temperatures will soar into the 90s with some locations potentially reaching 100 degrees on Friday or Saturday. Many areas will see heat index values top 100 Thursday through Saturday. If spending time outdoors this weekend, take all necessary precautions to avoid heat exhaustion.
