Scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected late Saturday into Sunday morning as a cold front pushes into Southeast Texas. Some storms will have the potential to becoming strong to severe and be capable of producing all severe hazards. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible in any of the stronger storms.

Rain chances return Saturday, peak Saturday night, then taper down Sunday as a front moves off the coast.

There is a high risk of rip currents along Gulf facing beaches through Sunday morning.

Increasing chances for showers/storms late Saturday into early Sunday as a cold front pushes into the area. A few storms may become strong to severe and be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall. Cooler temperatures prevail going into early next week, but rain chances continue on Monday as a coastal weather system develops and sweeps past the area.
