Winter Returns to the Upper Midwest in Contrast to Ongoing Snowmelt Flooding

Very warm temperatures melting a deep snowpack is causing flooding in the Upper Midwest. This slushy, melty situation will be replaced by heavy snow and blowing snow. A strong cold front will bring potential for isolated severe storms and locally heavy rain to parts of the Southeast to the Lower Great Lakes.
