Heavy Rain Threatens the Mid-Atlantic on Sunday While Fire Weather Conditions Worsen in the Southwest

Heavy rain is bringing a flash flood risk to parts of the Mid-Atlantic on Sunday. This activity will diminish overnight. On Monday, the focus shifts into the Plains and Mississippi Valley where severe thunderstorms and heavy rains will be possible through Tuesday. A tab with the Fire Weather Forecast Discussion and the forecast for the Fire Weather Zone clicked upon will be in the second tab.
A color coded Fire Weather Matrix will show up in the next tab. Some offices have created custom thresholds for the matrix. Otherwise, "default" parameters will be used. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
The final tab has a 3 hourly point forecast matrix for the next 6 days. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
