Potent Winter Storm in the Central U.S.; Heavy Rain and Severe Thunderstorms in the Southeast

A winter storm will produce heavy snow from the Central Plains into the Great Lakes today and into New England tonight into Friday. A wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain will be south of the snow. After that, 3 or 4 tabs will open up below the map:

If there are Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches on the clicked area, the text for those will show up in the first tab. Otherwise this tab will not show up.
A tab with the Fire Weather Forecast Discussion and the forecast for the Fire Weather Zone clicked upon will be in the second tab.
A color coded Fire Weather Matrix will show up in the next tab. Some offices have created custom thresholds for the matrix. Otherwise, "default" parameters will be used. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
The final tab has a 3 hourly point forecast matrix for the next 6 days. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
