Heavy Rainfall Continues in Hawaii; Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall in the Plains and Southern Appalachians

Areas of gusty winds, heavy rain leading to flash flooding, and high surf continue across portions of Hawaii as Tropical Storm Lala continues to move away from the islands. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall will shift into the southern Appalachians today. If there are Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches on the clicked area, the text for those will show up in the first tab. Otherwise this tab will not show up.
A tab with the Fire Weather Forecast Discussion and the forecast for the Fire Weather Zone clicked upon will be in the second tab.
A color coded Fire Weather Matrix will show up in the next tab. Some offices have created custom thresholds for the matrix. Otherwise, "default" parameters will be used. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
The final tab has a 3 hourly point forecast matrix for the next 6 days. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
