Severe Thunderstorms in the Midwest and Arizona; Heat Continues in the Southeast and Southwest

Thunderstorms, some severe, may lead to scattered instances of flash flooding across the Midwest and Ohio Valley and southern Arizona. The threat will shift to the Mid-Atlantic coast on Thursday. Dangerous heat persists in the South and Southeast while building into the Southwest. Overnight lows will be so warm that little-to-no relief from the scorching daytime highs will be available. After that, 3 or 4 tabs will open up below the map:

If there are Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches on the clicked area, the text for those will show up in the first tab. Otherwise this tab will not show up.
A tab with the Fire Weather Forecast Discussion and the forecast for the Fire Weather Zone clicked upon will be in the second tab.
A color coded Fire Weather Matrix will show up in the next tab. Some offices have created custom thresholds for the matrix. Otherwise, "default" parameters will be used. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
The final tab has a 3 hourly point forecast matrix for the next 6 days. Note: This information covers the area on the map within the "green square".
