Significant Weather Hazards from Storms on the West coast and in the Mississippi Valley

A powerful West Coast storm is likely to produce areas of heavy rain with life-threatening flash flooding, especially on burn scars, high winds, and significant waves along the coast. Scattered severe storms capable of damaging winds gusts, isolated large hail, and tornadoes, including larger tornadoes EF-2 or greater is expected in parts of the Mississippi Valley into the Ohio Valley.
