The highs will be in the upper 70s to lower 80. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected as a disturbance passes through. Winds will be light from the east and southeast.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms expected Friday and Saturday. Some storms could become strong to severe. Potential impacts include damaging winds and hail. A brief isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. There is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) of severe weather for areas north and northeast of the Houston metro on Friday and a Marginal Risk for all of Southeast Texas on Saturday. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible.

Showers and thunderstorms developing today and Saturday could produce locally heavy rainfall at times. Ponding of water along roadways and low lying areas is the most likely threat.

Rain chances peak Friday into Saturday followed by a gradual warming trend going into early next week.
