Radar
Scattered to widespread rainfall is expected across Southeast Texas starting this afternoon and continuing through Sunday morning, with locally heavy amounts possible. Areas north of Conroe are under a Slight Risk (level 2 of 4) for excessive rainfall today and tonight, while the rest of the region today and on Sunday remain under a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 4). Be prepared for potential minor urban and small stream flooding, and never drive into flooded roadways.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across Southeast Texas from this afternoon through Sunday, with some potentially becoming strong to severe. Most areas will see rainfall totals between 0.5 and 1.5 inches, but locally higher amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible where severe storms or training storms develop. Minor urban and small stream flooding are the primary concerns. Stay weather-aware and monitor for potential flash flood threats.
Showers are possible every day through next midweek across Southeast Texas. While Monday may only have a slight chance of rain, total accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is expected through Wednesday night. Isolated strong thunderstorms could produce those same totals in a single day. The windows with the highest potential for heavy rain fall this afternoon into Sunday morning and again from Tuesday through Wednesday.
