Heatwave Continues; Thunderstorms and Showers in the Upper Midwest

An ongoing significant heat wave will continue through early week in the Southeast, Mid-South, and Plains, where the Heat index could exceed 110 degrees in some places. Scattered severe thunderstorms and heavy rain will be possible over parts of the Upper Midwest on Monday.
