East winds across the ABQ Metro reintensify this evening before tapering off early Saturday morning. Wind gusts of up to 55 mph are possible below canyon openings, including Tijeras Canyon, Embudo Canyon, and Bear Canyon. A Wind Advisory is in effect from 6 PM this evening to 3 AM Saturday.
East canyon winds this evening across the ABQ Metro. Showers possibly with some thunder ramping up early Saturday morning across north central and northeast NM.
Cooler and wetter weather spread further over central and eastern NM Saturday. Afternoon widespread showers and scattered storms will be capable of producing cloud-to-ground lightning, gusty winds, small hail and brief downpours.
Drier weather pushes in from the west Sunday as the system exits. Showers and storms will favor the northern mountains and northeast NM Sunday afternoon and early evening.
