Areas of mountain snow and valley rain persisting over western and northern sections of NM this morning.
Very strong to potentially damaging winds will impact portions of central and eastern New Mexico today. The most hazardous conditions will set up across roughly the southeast quarter.
Snow will continue today with accumulation levels generally near 6500 feet across the northwest and far west. The heaviest snows will again favor the mountains of northern New Mexico. Snow will decrease west to east late today.
Rain and snow showers will contine across northern and western areas today before tapering off this evening. Strong to damaging winds with gusts up to 65 mph will impact central and eastern areas this afternoon.
Much cooler on Wednesday with ihghs below seasonal average areawide. Temperatures will be trending strongly upward through late week.
