JPSS-1, the newest polar-orbiting weather satellite, launched this morning! JPSS-1 launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. This new satellite is a major milestone in advancing our mission to protect life and property and safeguard our economic livelihood.
Though a cool northwest flow aloft will continue today, temperatures will be milder than yesterday. Highs will still be slightly below normal across the southeastern plains of New Mexico, however will rebound to near normal across the rest of northern and central New Mexico. Bright sunshine will predominate today with just a few high clouds from time to time.
