Strong easterly winds continue through the ABQ metro today, peaking again this evening before tapering off by Saturday morning.

Cooler and wetter weather spreads more over northern and eastern NM today.

Cooler and wetter weather spread further over central and eastern NM Saturday. Afternoon widespread showers and scattered storms will be capable of producing cloud-to-ground lightning, gusty winds, small hail and brief downpours.

Drier weather pushses in from the west Sunday, pushing rain chances across central and eastern NM back into TX. Showers and storms will favor the northern mountains and far eastern NM Sunday afternoon.
