Drier conditions will continue on Monday, although some isolated showers and thunderstorms are still possible over areas south of I-10. High temperatures will generally be in the mid to upper 90s inland and the lower 90s along the coasts.
Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing high levels of ozone pollution in the Houston, Galveston and surrounding areas through Monday evening.
Shower and thunderstorm activity will increase on Tuesday as a weak boundary moves in from the north-northeast. This will also help lower the high temperatures a couple of degrees.
Chances for showers and storms return on Tuesday and increase around midweek and the weekend as frontal boundaries approach. Days with lower rain chances will have increased high temperatures peaking in the mid to upper 90s.
