Showers and thunderstorms expected tonight into Wednesday morning. Locally heavy rainfall of 1-3 inches is expected and localized flooding is possible.

Scattered thunderstorms possible north of I-10 this afternoon. Line of thunderstorms to push through the region from north to south overnight into early Wednesday morning. Some uncertainty regarding if the storms will weaken or not before reaching the coast. Damaging winds are the main severe threat. Hail will also be possible.

Unsettled pattern will lead to continued high chances for showers and thunderstorms, with additional rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall starting Thursday. This rainfall will generate runoff and river responses, especially where we see repeated heavy rainfall over the same locations.

Multiple rounds of rain and thunderstorms are expected through this weekend. Highest forecast rainfall totals expected this weekend.

There is a high risk of rip currents along all Gulf facing beaches through Wednesday evening. Stay away from rocks and swim near a life guard.
