Active Spring Like Pattern Across the Eastern Half of the Country

The second storm will track across central and eastern portion of the country this weekend. Heavy wintry precipitation will affect the northern Plains to the upper peninsula of Michigan. Severe thunderstorms are expected along and ahead of the cold front, where very large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes are possible from the mid-Mississippi and Ohio Valleys to southern Plains. There is a high risk of rip currents along all Gulf-facing beaches through Saturday evening. Use extra caution, always swim near a lifeguard and stay away from rocks, jetties, and piers
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead of and along a cold front that pushes into the area Saturday afternoon/night. A few storms may become strong to severe. Lingering showers/storms possible into Sunday.
Isolated to scattered showers and storms, mainly along and east of I-45. Otherwise, mostly cloudy and warm.
Shower and thunderstorm chances increase as the day progresses and a cold front begins moving into the area.
Colder and breezy. Mostly cloudy. Rain and storms will persist around areas south of I-10.
Expect daily rain and storm chances, with the highest probability of thunderstorms this weekend as a cold front moves through the region. After Sunday, expect more seasonal temperatures through midweek.
