The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring an area of low pressure just off of the eastern coast of Florida. This low will track westward across Florida and into the north-central Gulf over the next few days. Environmental conditions are favorable for some gradual development of this low and it could become a tropical depression by the middle to latter part of the week, so the NHC currently has given it a 30% probability of tropical cyclone development over the next 2 days and 40% probability over the next 7 days.
