A Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday afternoon. Do not drive across flooded roads!

Periods of showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue across portions of Southeast Texas today. There is the potential for heavy rainfall and could result in flash flooding as well as river flooding. Some thunderstorms could be strong and may produce strong winds. Make sure to have multiple ways of receiving weather updates and warnings.

There is a high rip current risk along all Gulf-facing beaches through Saturday. Use extra caution and always swim near a lifeguard.

Flooding continues across most of southeast Texas. Stay weather alert and out of floodwaters. Turn around, don't drown.
